The Restaurant Association of Maryland Runs Radio Advertisements Promoting Gift Certificates

The Restaurant Association of Maryland is continuing its efforts to provide assistance to local Maryland restaurants in the current economic climate. These initiatives focus on encouraging the public to dine out and support local restaurants.  The Restaurant Association of Maryland issues gift certificates redeemable at over 500 local restaurants inherently keeping profits in our local businesses and the over all state economy. Paul Hartgen Comments on the Forecast for the Industry in 2009.

In an article on baltimoresun.com Restaurant Association of Maryland President & CEO Paul Hartgen commented on the economic forecast for the foodservice and hospitality industry in 2009.

"Paul Hartgen, the new president and chief executive officer of the Restaurant Association of Maryland, which has its headquarters in Columbia, said the number of restaurants and workers has risen in the past year, though slowly, despite the recession. And while food costs are higher, restaurant prices have remained stable."
